Continued Commitment to Fresno and Madera County Children
Valley Children’s has cared for children in Fresno and Madera counties since we opened our Hospital doors in 1952. As we follow our vision to improve access to all children in the Central Valley, we are bringing more pediatric specialty care services into Fresno. Children will receive specialized pediatric care they need close to home at the Spruce Specialty Care Center.
The specialties offered at the Spruce Specialty Care Center include:
Valley Children’s is recognized as one of the nation’s best children’s hospitals in Orthopaedics by U.S. News & World Report in its “2021-2022 Best Children’s Hospitals” rankings. From infants to young adults, the team treats all aspects of children’s orthopaedic needs on an outpatient and inpatient basis. Performing about 2,200 pediatric orthopaedic surgeries a year and caring for children more than 30,000 times a year for outpatient visits, Valley Children’s board certified pediatric orthopaedic surgeons specialize in the treatment of complex conditions such as congenital deformities of upper and lower extremities, spinal disorders, sports-related injuries and neuromuscular diseases.
The Child Advocacy Clinic is part of The Guilds of Valley Children’s Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Center. The Clinic operates five days a week and sees more than 1,000 children each year. The staff includes a board-certified child abuse pediatrician, nurse practitioners who specialize in child maltreatment, social workers, a center coordinator and support staff.
Partnering for the Best Care
Our specialty care centers throughout the region keep children and families close to the people they already trust for their best care, their own primary care physicians. Valley Children’s continues to support Fresno and Madera area pediatricians and family practice physicians, working together on the care of their patients. Our specialists will partner with you to provide timely communication regarding test results, specific diagnoses and treatment information.
