Each football season, we team up with Fresno State for a once in a lifetime experience for some of our patients. At each home football game, one Valley Children’s patient is selected to be the Kid Captain of the game and gets to participate in the coin toss with the team along with being a part of on-field festivities. For the 2023 season, we have six special Kid Captains to introduce you to the day before each big game!
Meet 6-year-old Kendra. Kendra was born with a congenital condition that affects the bones and muscles in the feet, commonly known as Clubfoot. She has had to undergo several rounds of foot casting as well as several surgeries by the award-winning Valley Children’s Orthopaedics team.
Kendra is a first grader who loves to swim, dance and play with her sister and cousins! When she grows up, she wants to be a teacher. Join us in cheering on Kendra and the Bulldogs as they face New Mexico State this Saturday, November 18 at Valley Children’s Stadium!
