Board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Vivian Nwosu joined Valley Children’s as a pediatric emergency medicine physician in July 2014.

Dr. Nwosu’s previous experience includes serving as an instructor and clinical educator in the Department of Pediatrics, Saint Louis University School of Medicine, as well as an assistant clinical professor of pediatrics at The George Washington University, School of Medicine and Health Sciences, in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Nwosu received her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Piscataway, N.J. She did her internship and residency in pediatrics at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Dr. Nwosu completed her fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine at Saint Louis University School of Medicine, Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center, in St. Louis, Mo.

Dr. Nwosu has presented her work on various topics in her field. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

In her free time, Dr. Nwosu enjoys spending time with her family.
