A board certified anesthesiologist, Dr. Marino Fernandez is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists. He also speaks Spanish.
Dr. Fernandez graduated with honors from Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña School of Medicine in Santo Domingo, D.N., Dominican Republic and received the Dominican Universitary Foundation Award for best graduating medical student. He provided medical service for a year under the Secretary of State of Public Health in Santo Domingo before completing his residency in the Department of Pediatrics at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Mich., where he also served as Chief Resident. Dr. Fernandez also completed a residency in the Department of Anesthesiology at The University Hospital/Boston University in Boston, Mass. Dr. Fernandez did a fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at The Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School in Boston.
