Why did you choose Valley Children’s Pediatric Residency Program?
I fell in love with the ambiance that both the faculty and hospital created during my interview! People really felt like they loved what they do for a living, and it was a calling and not a job. Nothing can beat when you love what you do and are surrounded by like-minded people!

Advocacy and Research Interests and Accomplishments:
I am very passionate about advocacy for healthcare in minority populations, especially patients whom English is not their first language. My former research experience has been in medical education within the medical school curriculum as well as working in a research lab studying viral DNA replication of Kaposi’s sarcoma-associated Herpesvirus (KSHV) and human Cytomegalovirus (HCMV).
My care philosophy is centered on communication, empathy, diversity and inclusion. I want patients and families to understand that healthcare is a team effort to empower everyone, no matter their race, religion, creed, or background.
