Why did you chose Valley Children’s Pediatric Residency Program?
As a Central Valley native, I have always had a lot of admiration for Valley Children’s and their name in the community. My early memories as a patient here and volunteer in the playroom really set a foundation of what pediatric medicine should be like: an environment that revolves around the kids. When I returned for an away rotation as a medical student, I was impressed by how all the different types of health providers were integrated and worked together as a team. They all have so much passion for the care they are providing. It also is a great feeling to be able to grow in my career with a community that I feel so connected to. I know this unique environment is the perfect fit to help me become the kind of physician I have always wanted to be.

Hobbies:
Spending time with my family, exercising, outdoor adventures (mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, snowboarding) and live music

Advocacy and Research Interests and Accomplishments:
My advocacy in the past has revolved around providing healthcare and resources for underserved populations. I am grateful for the opportunity to have been part of several different interdisciplinary healthcare teams that provided clinics for homeless populations, underrepresented minorities and mobile clinics abroad. I have also used research opportunities to explore my medical and scientific interests. I have contributed to projects on topics such as traumatic brain injuries, glioblastomas, non-invasive brain stimulation, intracranial measurements of theory of mind processing, and the effects of the COVID19 pandemic on inpatient telehealth and how to utilize these services after the pandemic.

Care Philosophy:
As a parent, I have the utmost appreciation for the vulnerability that families face when trusting us with the health of their children. I value the opportunity to be with them during these challenging times and will always do my best to deliver the highest quality of care, compassion and medical knowledge.
