Why did you choose Valley Children's Pediatric Residency Program?
I chose Valley Children’s Residency because I saw how active they are in the community, the incredible diversity in both patients and staff, their commitment to resident wellness and they are always striving to ensure the best care for the patients and their families.
Reading, watching anything and everything Marvel Cinematic Universe, collecting local and/or small business art, walks at sunrise and set and chilling with my dog.
Advocacy and Research Interests and Accomplishments:
I am passionate about incorporating lifestyle medicine in all my patients’ care and finding ways to make [healthcare] more accessible to those in impoverished and underserved communities. In medical school, I volunteered at a free healthcare clinic and pharmacy, promoting lifestyle wellness via healthy cooking and exercise demonstrations to show how to incorporate lifestyle changes in any situation.
I believe every child deserves care that is without bias and equitable to all. I believe in helping children in every aspect, not just medically, to ensure they are getting the best opportunity to lead safe and healthy lives.
