About Me:
I grew up in Santa Cruz County and went to UC Berkeley, where I majored in Urban Studies. After graduating from college I worked for an environmental non-profit and then completed my post bacc at Bennington College in Vermont. I headed back to the Bay Area to get my DO/MPH dual degree with a focus in Community Health.
Why I chose Valley Children’s Pediatric Residency Program:
The opportunity to help provide care for an underserved population, the high patient volume and acuity, and the warm and welcoming environment make this stand-alone children’s hospital a wonderful and fulfilling place to work and to learn.
Hobbies:
Outside of work I like to swim, hike loop trails, read (for fun) books from the library, and go backpacking every once in a while.
Advocacy, Interests and Research Accomplishments:
I'm interested in improving access to care, reproductive education, and social justice in medicine.
Care Philosophy:
Patient-centered and evidence-based, grounded in multi-disciplinary team care.
