Why did you choose Valley Children's Pediatric Residency Program?
I loved the commitment to advocacy and the strong, positive impact this commitment had on the community. I was excited by the increased level of support provided to residents to engage in all aspects of their training, including research. Additionally, I chose Valley Children's because every resident and faculty member expressed such genuine pride and joy when talking about this great program!

Hobbies:
Hiking, watching hockey, being active (lifting weights, functional fitness, indoor cycling), watching too many television series, spending time with family and friends

Advocacy and Research Interests and Accomplishments:
My previous research experiences focused on characterizing proteins derived from Arabidopsis thaliana, comparing the economic impact of universal versus risk-based management of unknown GBS status at term and studying the management of status epilepticus in the pediatric population.

My previous community engagement accomplishments include aiding in the organization of an annual health and education resource fair to better serve an underserved community.

Care Philosophy:
I believe communication and education are very important components of providing care to my patients. I believe patients should feel empowered to be active participants in their health and to be educated on how to prevent future disease states.
