I am lucky to call myself a dad to my awesome son, as well as a husband to my amazing wife. I love listening to and playing (these days more attempting to play) all types of music. I enjoy talking and reading about Bay Area sports. I can quote nearly every line of “The Office.”
What I love about Valley Children’s:
The program is one big family, and this was evident as early as my interview day. Throughout these past two years, that relationship has only grown stronger. It was also clear that the educational and clinical aspects of the program represented an extraordinary learning environment. The interdisciplinary collaboration here is second to none, and it is incredible to be a part of the large, diverse team solely dedicated to delivering exceptional healthcare to the children of the Central Valley.
Advocacy and/or Research Accomplishments:
I am fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to work with my research mentor, Dr. Fouzia Naeem, to describe the cases of coccidioidomycosis (“Valley fever”) that specifically affect the musculoskeletal system seen in our infectious disease clinic. I had an amazing time presenting our findings with a poster at the international meeting for infectious disease (“IDWeek”) in San Francisco in 2018. Regarding advocacy, our class was honored to attend the California AAP’s Legislative Day and advocate for advancement of bills that benefit the Central Valley’s kids.
