Why did you choose Valley Children's Pediatric Residency Program?
From the first day of my rotation at Valley Children’s, I had a sense of community and warmth from each one of the preceptors and GME staff that I interacted with. The community is equally as welcoming and appreciative of the medical care. Being in the Central Valley provides a very unique mix of cases and I am excited for all the learning opportunities Valley Children’s Hospital will provide!
Hobbies:
Cooking and developing healthy multicultural recipes, baking desserts and bread, hiking, reading, true crime podcasts and series, gardening, badminton and being an inflexible yogi
Advocacy and Research Interests and Accomplishments:
I am a diabetes empowerment and education program instructor and continue to advocate for and educate my patients who are struggling with their diabetes care. I have previously submitted a case report for an infant with herpes simplex meningoencephalitis and have experimented with bacteriophages in my undergraduate studies.
Care Philosophy:
I believe in building a trusting and understanding relationship with my patients so we can work together to lead healthy, fulfilling lives regardless of socioeconomic background, culture, race, gender or sexual orientation. I want to provide medical care that is inclusive and will help my future young patients thrive and achieve their full potential.
