Board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Sarah Brickey joined Valley Children’s in August 2013 as a pediatric endocrinologist. Her areas of clinical interest include type 1 diabetes and sexual development disorders.

Dr. Brickey has presented on various topics in her field. She is a member of several professional societies, including the Pediatric Endocrine Society and American Diabetes Association.

Dr. Brickey received her medical degree from Loyola University Chicago, Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Illinois. She did her pediatric residency at Advocate Christ Medical Center, Hope Children’s Hospital, in Oak Lawn, Illinois. She completed her fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at Phoenix Children’s Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Brickey enjoys giving back. Community service projects in which she has contributed her medical skills include working with type 1 diabetic children at American Diabetes Association camp in Arizona and Illinois; providing basic medical care to families in Guatemala and Honduras; and educating children and their families on weight management as well as teaching an asthma-management program to elementary school children in Northern California.

An avid singer since she was age 5, Dr. Brickey has participated in international competitions. Locally, she is a member of the Fresno Community Chorus Master Chorale.
