Nicole Webb, MD

Valley Children’s Medical Group Doctor
About Clinical Interests Education Video Locations

Dr. Nicole Webb joined Valley Children's in August 2012 as a pediatric hospitalist. As a pediatrician, Dr. Webb enjoys managing a wide variety of conditions from birth to early adulthood, and working with children and families during often difficult times in their lives. She is particularly interested in the care of children with chronic illness, as well as in resident and medical student education.

Dr. Webb earned her medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, Mich. Her original interest in the field of medicine was rooted in the care of children, and her experience as a medical student further strengthened that commitment. Following graduation, she completed her residency in pediatrics at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She is board qualified.

As a medical student, Dr. Webb became especially interested in early childhood nutrition and obesity prevention, and was active at a local and national level in advocacy and educational efforts to improve children's health. These interests led her to pursue training at UCLA, in their specialized Child Health and Advocacy Track, which provided in-depth training in community outreach and child advocacy. This training prepared her to participate in local and statewide legislative advocacy efforts. Additionally, she was able to partner with a major community resource for children in Los Angeles to create an in-home, family-based educational tool to improve early childhood nutrition.

Dr. Webb is also committed to improving global health and supporting efforts for sustainable development in resource-poor settings. During her pediatric residency, her efforts included volunteering with a nongovernmental organization (NGO) in Ghana to better understand local childbearing practices, and to teach medical providers and traditional birth attendants neonatal resuscitation techniques using the American Academy of Pediatrics' "Helping Babies Breathe" curriculum.

Dr. Webb has published in peer-reviewed journals such as "Stem Cells.” She is a member of several professional societies, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society, and Specialty Medical Group.

In her free time, Dr. Webb enjoys swimming, reading, and travel. She loves cooking and has a passion for trivia. She is looking forward to exploring the Central Valley, and spending time with family and friends.
