Board eligible by the American Board of Anesthesiology, Dr. Josemine Carey joined Valley Children’s as an anesthesiologist in October 2019.
Prior to Valley Children’s, Dr. Carey was a staff physician and health sciences clinical instructor at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). She also worked as a physician in the Department of Anesthesiology at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center.
Dr. Carey is a member of American Society of Anesthesiologists, California Society of Anesthesiologists, San Francisco Medical Society, Catholic Medical Association and the UCSF School of Medicine Mentorship Program. She has shared her expertise and research in various poster presentations.
Dr. Carey earned her medical degree from UCSF in 2013. This is where she also completed her residency in anesthesiology in 2017 and fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology in 2019. In addition to English, Dr. Carey speaks intermediate Spanish and has basic comprehension of Tagalog.
