Board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the Osteopathic Medical Board, and pediatric fellowship-trained, Dr. Wendy Wong joined Valley Children’s as a pediatric intensivist in August 2015. 

Dr. Wong is a member of several professional societies including the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Wong has presented and published her work on various topics in her field. She has published in peer-reviewed publications such as “Respiratory Care.”

As a clinical fellow, Dr. Wong presented lectures on cardiovascular and pulmonary physiology, traumatic brain injury and other topics. She also conducted pediatric intensive care unit orientation, and has run workshops on airway support and intubation skills.

Dr. Wong received her medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbur City, New York. She did her pediatric internship at Maimonides Medical Center, in Brooklyn, New York, and then stayed on to complete her pediatric residency, eventually becoming chief resident. Dr. Wong completed her fellowship in pediatric critical care medicine at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles in Los Angeles, California.

A big believer in giving back, Dr. Wong volunteered with Gift of Life International’s cardiac surgery mission, providing postoperative critical care for patients in Port au Prince, Haiti. She also donated her time as a pediatrician with Heal the Children’s cleft lip and cleft palate surgery mission in Villavicencio, Columbia.
