Dr. Urs Naber joined Valley Children’s in 2019.
Prior to Valley Children’s, Dr. Naber served as a fellow in pediatric critical care at the Stanford University School of Medicine.
He is currently a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). His research has been shared at conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals including BMJ Simulation and Technology Enhanced Learning and Anticancer Research.
Dr. Naber attended the University of Hamburg, Germany, where he earned his medical degree. After working as a resident in pediatric hematology and oncology at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf in Germany, he transitioned to the US and completed a residency in general pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth in New Hampshire. Dr. Naber completed his fellowship in pediatric critical care at Stanford University’s Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Naber is passionate about education and encouraging innovation in the pediatric care setting. While completing his residency in pediatrics, he served as a resident fellow and clinical content reviewer at the New England Pediatric Device Consortium – a non-profit foundation that encourages and evaluates product concepts for pediatric care. This experience led him to a yearlong fellowship in biodesign innovation at the Stanford Byers Center for Biodesign. He co-founded Zeit Medical, a company focused on stroke care, while at Stanford, and has also served as a judge for Stanford University’s 2018 Health hackathon.
