Board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Sarah Sahib joined the team at Valley Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders Center in December 2023. 

Dr. Sahib graduated cum laude from St. George’s School of Medicine in Grenada, where she earned her medical degree before completing her pediatric residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and a fellowship in pediatric hematology and oncology through Children’s Hospital of Orange County. 

Prior to Valley Children’s, Dr. Sahib was involved in several major research projects, including investigations into the role of UHRF2 in chemotherapy to study osteosarcoma therapeutics, risk prevention factors for IV-line extravasation and interventions to ensure patient safety and quality of care, and non-operative management of acute appendicitis in patients with sickle cell disease. Dr. Sahib has shared her expertise at several conferences and lectures, and her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology

Dr. Sahib’s personal interests include fitness, culinary arts and traveling.
