Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Nataly Shildt joined Valley Children’s in August 2020 as a pediatric intensivist. 

Prior to Valley Children’s, Dr. Shildt served as a critical care fellow at Emory University Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Egleston Hospital in Georgia. During the same time, she worked as a pediatric ICU hospitalist at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, Scottish Rite Hospital.

Dr. Shildt has shared her work through numerous lectures, including her work on asthma in the pediatric ICU, which she presented at the 2019 Critical Care Fellows Conference. In February 2020 she presented her quality improvement initiative on expediting early mobilization of mechanically ventilated pediatric patients using an ICU liberation bundle at the Society of Critical Care Medicine Conference. She is also an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

After earning her doctorate of osteopathic medicine from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Davie, Florida, Dr. Shildt went to Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia where she completed her residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in pediatric critical care medicine.
