About

Practice Philosophy

As pediatrician I see myself as an advocate for children, not just of their health, but their wellbeing as a whole. Children's health is multifaceted and needs to be approached in a holistic manner, taking into consideration its psycho-social, economic, cultural and environmental aspects. I believe by recognizing this and involving parents, families and the community, I will be able to provide comprehensive quality care to children of our community.

A member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Aldrin Insorio joined Valley Children’s in July 2019 as a pediatrician at San Dimas Pediatrics in Bakersfield.

Dr. Insorio comes to Valley Children’s from New York University Langone Hospital in Brooklyn, where he was a pediatric hospitalist, responsible for managing and treating patients admitted to the pediatric floor and rounding on well-newborns in the mother/baby unit. In addition to his clinical duties as a pediatric hospitalist, Dr. Insorio also held academic and administrative responsibilities.

After earning his medical degree from the University of the Philippines in Manila, Dr. Insorio went on to complete pediatric residency rotations at Elmhurst Hospital Center in Queens, New York and Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan. He completed his residency training and served as Chief Resident of Pediatrics at Elmhurst Hospital Center Residency Program of Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Dr. Insorio has given presentations on a variety of pediatric health topics, including vaccinations, newborn care, vision screening, pediatric orthopedic conditions and developmental delays.

In his free time, Dr. Insorio enjoys being active and trying new foods and recipes. He is an avid fan of the theater arts and enjoys going to Broadway shows. He is fluent in English and Tagalog.
