Yvette Segura, PhD, earned her doctorate in child clinical psychology at Oklahoma State University at Stillwater. She completed an internship in child/pediatric psychology at University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Kentucky, and a pediatric psychology postdoctoral fellowship at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Dr. Segura serves as a co-chair on the Clinical Learning Environment and Wellness Committee. She gives presentations at Valley Children’s Hospital and as a staff presenter for the Stanford affiliated residency program here at Valley Children’s Hospital. Her work has been published in the Journal of Ethnicity in Substance Abuse and she has been a guest reviewer for Clinical Pediatrics: The Peer-Reviewed Journal for the Clinician.
Dr. Segura joined Valley Children’s in 2004. She is a member of The Society of Pediatric Psychology. Her clinical interests include pediatric coping with chronic illness and/or trauma, externalizing behavior disorders, parenting, and Parent Child Interaction Therapy.
