Join Valley Children’s Cancer and Blood Diseases Center on Friday, Sept. 22 as we host a conference for school nurses who work throughout Central California. The free event will focus on “Hemoglobinopathy, Common Childhood Cancer & Survivorship” and is eligible for continuing education credits for nurses.
The conference will include panels on:
- Blood diseases, such as sickle cell disease, thalassemia and hereditary spherocytosis
- Identifying the social issues faced by children and families and the impact on their overall health and wellbeing
- Recognizing health parameters for survivors of childhood cancer
- Facilitating communication with community providers
