Michele Waldron

Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Michele Waldron is senior vice president and chief financial officer at Valley Children’s, with responsibility for the organization’s overall financial management strategy, direction, control and coordination.  

Michele began her professional career in public accounting at Ernst & Whinney, serving in the audit division for just over three years before joining Valley Children’s in 1989. Michele was Valley Children’s director of general accounting for nine years and executive director of finance for five years before becoming chief financial officer in 2003.

Michele is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA), American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA). She is a member of La Feliz Guild. She also sits on the California Children’s Hospital Association board.

A Bakersfield native, Michele received her bachelor’s degree from California State University, Fresno (CSUF) and her master’s of business administration (MBA) from the Craig School of Business also at CSUF.
