Performing approximately 2,000 pediatric orthopaedic surgeries and seeing more than 32,000 outpatient visits a year, Valley Children's team of experienced board-certified pediatric orthopaedic surgeons specialize in the treatment of complex conditions such as congenital deformities of the upper and lower extremities, spinal disorders, sports-related injuries and neuromuscular diseases.

The department was one of the first in the nation to implement a structured urgent access model that provides dedicated time and resources for children with acute orthopedic injuries referred from outside facilities and the Valley Children’s Emergency Department. Our appointment-based clinic receives referrals that range from routine injuries, such as playground falls, to complex trauma from major motor vehicle collisions. As a result, our team's approach allows us to prepare for and schedule patients who require immediate attention in a timely manner.

Sports injuries are common among children and adolescents. Our orthopaedic surgeons are experts at treating complex fractures quickly while preventing surgical complications. Valley Children's orthopaedic physicians have extensive experience in treating young athletes and providing sport-specific treatment to get kids back to play as soon as possible.
