Volunteer Opportunities

Our goal is to match volunteers with opportunities that serve our patients, families and staff while providing volunteers with a meaningful experience that is consistent with their skills and interests. Our volunteers support the entire organization serving in a variety of roles, all of which are instrumental in delivering quality care and services to the patients and families that Valley Children’s serves.

The majority of our volunteers work directly with patients playing games, reading books, delivering crafts, and movies or assisting with arts and crafts at the bedside or in the hospital playrooms. There are also opportunities available with little or no patient care where volunteers help in our various clinics and offices, in the Gift Shop or at the information desks as greeters.

To engage patients and siblings of all ages, volunteers make a six month commitment on a weekly or biweekly basis (eight hours a month). We offer flexible scheduling and will work with you to determine a schedule that meets your needs as well as ours.

For more information and to apply, please visit our volunteer requirements page.
