Veterans Day is a time to honor all veterans who served our country. Thanks to these men and women in uniform, our rights as citizens have been upheld. At Valley Children's, we take today to thank and honor those who have courageously worn the uniform to protect our freedoms. We also take a moment to recognize a special group of veterans who now serve our mission of providing the best care to kids.

One member of this special group is Lydia Archuleta. Lydia is a CLS Information Tech at Valley Children’s and served in the U.S. Army. While in the Army, Lydia took a special interest in science and credits the Army for helping create a foundation for her forever career at Valley Children’s.

“My military service developed me into the person I am today. I learned valuable leadership skills, collaboration techniques, and most importantly a strong work ethic." - Lydia Archuleta, Valley Children's CLS Information Tech and U.S. Army Veteran

Starting as a Clinical Lab Scientist in 2008, Lydia has loved utilizing the skills she used in the Army in the roles she has held at Valley Children's. Along with impacting her professional life, the Army also shaped Lydia’s personal life as she met her husband of 23 years while serving.

We thank our employees who have served our country and continue to make Valley Children’s a place where everyone can be their best.
