Raed Khoury
Vice President of Quality, Patient Safety, Research and Clinical Value
Raed Khoury is the vice president of quality, patient safety, research and clinical value at Valley Children’s Healthcare. In this role, he is responsible for the development, management and implementation of a strategy and vision to improve patient quality and safety outcomes across the organization. In addition, he provides overall strategic, operational and financial leadership to Valley Children's Specialty Medical Group to ensure efficient and effective patient care delivery, quality care and customer satisfaction.
Prior to joining Valley Children’s in May 2014, Raed held a variety of leadership positions throughout his career, including the director of accreditation and regulation and licensing, quality and medical staff, and as a vice president of safety at Kaiser Permanente in Fresno, California. He also held the position of system director of quality and patient safety at John Muir Health in Walnut Creek and Concord campuses in California.
Raed has completed a master’s degree in microbiology and a master’s degree in public health from California State University, Fresno and is board certified in Healthcare Management as an American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Fellow. Raed holds a license as a clinical laboratory scientist and additional credentials in healthcare quality, safety, infection control, accreditation, six sigma and risk management.
