5 Things You May Not Know About Our Doctors
- Valley Children's opened its doors in 1952 with 17 physicians on staff. 16 of these physicians were male and one was female.
- Today, Valley Children's has an all-female Medical Staff leadership team! Beginning this legacy in 2024, these leaders guide their peers and act as wonderful representatives of our Hospital and mission.
- Valley Children's trains future physicians in our residency program and the class of 2029 includes 12 residents from California, with three from the Central Valley – bringing future pediatricians back to train in the communities they call home.
- Today, Valley Children's has 616 physicians total! 361 of them are internal doctors in more than 36 different specialties, providing compassionate care for an underserved population and advocating for their health and access to healthcare in more than 29 locations across the Valley!
- All of our doctors LOVE what they do, making a difference one patient at a time.
