About Me
Board certified in general pediatrics and board eligible in child abuse pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Komal Aziz joined the child advocacy team at Valley Children’s Specialty Medical Group in 2025.
Dr. Aziz earned her bachelors in medicine and bachelors in surgery from the Age Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan. She went on to complete her residency in pediatrics at Saint Louis University School of Medicine and completed her fellowship training in child abuse pediatrics at Loma Linda University Health.
Dr. Aziz has led and contributed to committees and teams at hospitals and centers she has served, including the Child Protection Team at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital and the multidisciplinary team at the Barbara Sinatra Center for Children. She has also provided expert witness testimony in San Bernardino County courts. She has also delivered multiple academic presentations at the national and regional levels, showcasing her strong interest in the field.
Dr. Aziz is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Ray E. Helfer Society. As a fellow of the AAP, she is also a member of various AAP councils and sections, including the AAP Council on Child Abuse and Neglect, AAP Council on Foster Care, Adoption & Kinship Care and AAP Section on Child Death Review and Prevention. She is also a member of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children.
