Gracie and David Carr: The Dream Team

Gracie and David don’t let diabetes slow them down. Together, they created a game plan with Gracie's physicians at Valley Children’s to ensure she tackles diabetes every day, even when she heads to college.

As a former NFL quarterback, David never thought diabetes could happen to him or his kids. After David and three of his five children were diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, the Carr family turned to the endocrinology experts at Valley Children's to help them manage their care. Today, Gracie is an active 7-year-old who enjoys gymnastics, playing with dolls and running around with her siblings outside.
