About Me
Board certified in pediatrics and neonatal-perinatal medicine, Dr. Vidhi Shah came to Valley Children’s Specialty Medical Group in August 2020 as a neonatologist.
Prior to her current role, Dr. Shah worked at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio where she served as an assistant professor at Case Western Reserve University and a staff neonatologist.
Dr. Shah has been published in a variety of journals and books, including Neonatology, Journal of Pediatrics and Neonatal Medicine and Free Radical Biology and Medicine. Her research on respiratory control and apnea in premature infants has been published in Neonatology and Newborn Lung. She has mentored pediatric residents and neonatology fellows on various research products, including investigating correlation between patent ductus arteriosus and early onset sepsis as well as safety of PDA closure using transcatheter device in low birth weight infants. Dr. Shah has also been involved in a multitude of quality improvement projects, including serving as a team leader to “Improve screening for pulmonary hypertension in infants with bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD)” and “Reduce nitric oxide utilization in the NICU.” She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Trainees and Early Career Neonatologists (TECaN).
Dr. Shah earned her medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore in the Bronx, New York, and then went on to complete her fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.
When not at the hospital, Dr. Shah enjoys traveling, hiking and yoga.
