About Me
Board certified in pediatric pathology and anatomic and clinical pathology by the American Board of Pathology, Dr. Sandy Wu joined Valley Children’s Specialty Medical Group as a pediatric pathologist in 2022.
Prior to his current role, Dr. Wu worked as an attending pathologist at Kaiser-Permanente in Harbor City, California, and the fetal, neonatal and placental pathology consultant for Southern California Kaiser.
Dr. Wu is an active member of the College of American Pathologists and the Society for Pediatric Pathology. From 2008 to 2011 he also served as president of the Kaiser-Permanente Asian Pacific American Network. His work has been published in a variety of peer reviewed journals, including the Archives of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine and Pediatric and Developmental Pathology.
After earning his medical degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, Dr. Wu completed an internship at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado. He then completed a residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, followed by a fellowship at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
