About Me

Board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in pediatrics and pediatric infectious diseases, Dr. Samir Midani joined Valley Children’s Medical Group in 2025 as a pediatric infectious disease specialist. Dr Midani has vast clinical and administrative experience, with 25 years of being the division chief of pediatric Infectious Diseases at Nemours Children's Health.

Fluent in English, French and Arabic, Dr. Samir Midani comes from an extensive background in research and has been invited to present his findings both nationally and internationally. Dr. Midani’s work has also contributed to various books and chapters in addition to being published in peer-reviewed journals such as the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Journal, the Southern Medical Journal and the Pediatric Infections Forums Editorial Board.

Dr. Midani is also a member of American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the Florida Medical Association (FMA), the Pediatric Infectious Disease Society (PIDS), the Duval County Medical Society (DCMS), the Infectious Disease Society of America (IDSA), the Section of Infectious Diseases, American Academy of Pediatrics (SID-AAP), the Southern Medical Association (SMA) and the Northeast Florida Pediatric Society (NFPS). He has also received honors and recognition as being listed among the Best Doctors in America.

Dr. Midani received his medical degree from Damascus University School of Medicine. He continued to complete his pediatric residency at the University of Florida as well as undergo a Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship at Tulane University School of Medicine as well as the University of Florida.
