Sahithi Pemmasani, MD

Dr. Sahithi Pemmasani joined Valley Children’s Specialty Medical Group as a pediatric emergency medicine physician in 2026.

Dr. Pemmasani has contributed extensively to pediatric and neonatal research, with publications appearing in multiple peer-reviewed journals. She has presented her abstracts at various national conferences including the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and Pediatric Academic Societies (PAS). She was also a part of editorial team for "NICU Resident Handbook" at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai/Elmhurst Hospital. She has also completed "Residents as Teachers" course offered through Stanford University and is motivated to teach trainees.

Committed to serving her community, Dr. Pemmasani has volunteered with organizations including City Meals on Wheels and School Health Fair in New York. Through these efforts, she provided support to homebound seniors and educated children about hygiene and sanitization during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr. Pemmasani earned her medical degree from Osmania Medical College in India. She completed her pediatric residency at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai/Elmhurst Hospital and went on to complete a fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine at Corewell Health in Michigan.

Outside of medicine, she enjoys reading mysteries and spending time with her two kids. She is also fluent in Friends, Seinfeld and Calvin and Hobbes.
