About Me
Board certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Ruzan Adams joined Valley Children’s Specialty Medical Group as a pediatric infectious disease specialist in October 2026.
Dr. Adams’ interest in global health has led her to international training experiences with the Armenian Eye Care Project in Yerevan, Armenia and a clinical rotation focused on infectious and tropical diseases at Cayetano Heredia University in Lima, Peru. She has shared her knowledge through publications in peer-reviewed journals, including the International Journal of Infectious Diseases and the Journal of Hematopathology, and through invited presentations at state-level meetings such as the California Department of Public Health Tuberculosis Conference and the Statewide Quarterly Coccidioidomycosis (“Valley Fever”) Meeting.
Dr. Adams received her medical degree from the University of California, Irvine. She then completed both a pediatric residency and a pediatric infectious disease fellowship at Stanford University. While finishing her postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric global health, Dr. Adams also earned a master's degree in epidemiology and clinical research with a concentration in global health.
