About Me
Board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and American Osteopathic Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Ravi Uppal joined Valley Children’s Specialty Medical Group in 2024 as an emergency medicine physician.
After receiving his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida, Dr. Uppal completed his pediatric residency training at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, New York and served a year as Pediatric Chief Resident at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in Elmhurst, New York. Dr. Uppal then returned to Good Samaritan Hospital to pursue advanced training in his field and completed a pediatric emergency medicine fellowship. During his fellowship, Dr. Uppal served as Chief Fellow of Pediatric Emergency Medicine and was an adjunct clinical assistant professor at the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, New York.
Dr. Uppal has contributed to the body of academic research in his field, having presented a collection of lectures, conference presentations, workshops and curriculum development covering a variety of topics, including basilar skull fractures, febrile illness in neonates and pediatric airway management.
