About Me

Board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Pediatrics in both neonatology and pediatrics, Dr. Prabjot Parmar joined Valley Children’s Specialty Medical Group in August 2025 as a neonatologist at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.

Dr. Parmar earned his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Kansas City University. Afterwards, he completed a pediatric residency at Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio where he served as chief resident. He then went on to complete a fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at the University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Oishei Children’s Hospital in Buffalo, New York.

During his fellowship, Dr. Parmar was actively involved in the community. He was a founding member of the Multidisciplinary Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia Collaborative program at John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital and served as both a resolutions and a public relations committee member of the American Osteopathic Association’s Bureau of Emerging Leaders. He was also a clinical medicine and osteopathic skills instructor during his time at Kansas City University and served as a clinical instructor of pediatrics at Northeast Ohio Medical University.

Dr. Parmar is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Osteopathic Association and Canadian Osteopathic Association. He remains engaged in research with ongoing work in peer-reviewed abstracts and quality improvement initiatives, with his area of interest being neurodevelopmental outcomes in NICU graduates.

When he isn’t working, Dr. Parmar enjoys playing tennis, reading, working out, being an amateur foodie and spending time with family and friends.
