About Me
Board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Naisha Chokshi joined Valley Children’s Specialty Medical Group as a neonatologist in 2021.
Prior to her current role, Dr. Chokshi worked extensively with the tiniest, most fragile patients as a pediatric hospitalist in the cardiology division at Chest Disease’s Hospital in Kuwait, and in pediatric and neonatal intensive care units at T.R. Memorial Hospital in India. She has a wealth of research experience in areas including congenital malformation in newborns, postnatal growth in preterm babies, maternal and neonatal risk factors in infants of diabetic mothers and screening and lipid abnormalities in patients with history of Kawasaki disease. She has shared her knowledge by teaching residents at Michigan State University and through various poster presentations, abstracts and in peer-reviewed publications such as Pediatrics.
Dr. Chokshi is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, Society of Pediatric Research and Women in Neonatology on Neonatal Perinatal Medicine.
Dr. Chokshi earned her bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery from Smt. NHL Municipal Medical College in India, and completed residencies in pediatrics through K.M. School of Postgraduate and Research in India and Brooksdale University Hospital and Medical Center in New York. She completed a fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine through Michigan State University.
