About Me
Board certified in neonatal and perinatal medicine and general pediatrics, Dr. Lida Zeinali joined Valley Children’s Specialty Medical Group as a neonatologist caring for newborns in the NICU at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.
After earning her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, Dr. Zeinali completed her pediatric residency training at the University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Oishei Children’s Hospital in Buffalo, New York. She then went on to complete a fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at the University of California (UC), Davis.
Dr. Zeinali has received numerous awards and grants, including the UC Davis Outstanding Fellow Teaching Award in 2022 and a neonatal-perinatal medicine travel grant from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) in 2021.
Over the course of her career, Dr. Zeinali has built a robust research portfolio featuring works of scholarly activity and quality improvement initiatives. Her areas of particular focus include initiatives to decrease rates of hypothermia among neonates undergoing procedures, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics in conjunction with delayed cord clamping and neonatal resuscitation. Her work has been published in several peer-reviewed publications, including Pediatric Research, Clinical Therapeutics, the Journal of Perinatology, Children, and more. She has presented her research at industry conferences, highlighting her commitment to improving neonatal patient outcomes. In addition, Dr. Zeinali has served as a primary care and neonatal physician and educator on multiple international medical missions to Guyana, the West Indies and India.
