Kelly Bailey, MD

Board-certified in both general pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine, Dr. Kelly Bailey joined Valley Children’s Specialty Medical Group in 2024 as a pediatric emergency physician.

Prior to her current role, Dr. Bailey served as an attending pediatric emergency medicine physician at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital in Tacoma, WA. She brings extensive experience in pediatric care, having previously worked at Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital in Spokane, WA, and completed her fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where she developed her expertise in managing acute and critical pediatric conditions.

Dr. Bailey earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2013 and completed her residency in pediatrics at the same institution. During her fellowship, she specialized in pediatric emergency medicine and earned recognition for her exemplary teaching and contributions to medical education. She has received numerous awards, including the Pediatric Emergency Medicine Excellence in Teaching Award and the Outstanding Teacher Among Pediatric Fellows Award, reflecting her dedication to mentoring the next generation of physicians.

Beyond the emergency room, Dr. Bailey has a passion for wilderness medicine. She is a fellow of the Academy of Wilderness Medicine and has conducted research in pediatric wilderness safety, including topics such as pediatric drowning and search-and-rescue training.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Bailey has been actively involved in quality improvement projects, teaching initiatives and research that enhance patient care in pediatric emergency settings.
