Daaman Mittal, MD

Dr. Daaman Mittal joined Valley Children’s Specialty Medical Group in 2022 as a pediatric hospitalist practicing at Kaweah Health Medical Center in Visalia and at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital in Bakersfield.

After earning her medical degree from the Punjab Institute of Medical Sciences in India, Dr. Mittal completed a pediatric residency at Ascension St. John Children’s Hospital in Detroit, MI.

An accomplished researcher and lecturer, Dr. Mittal has been published in several peer-reviewed publications, including the International Journal of Contemporary Pediatrics, the International Journal of Community Health and Medical Research and the International Journal of Medical and Dental Sciences. She has also given presentations on a wide variety of pediatric topics in several forums, including lectures to pediatric faculty, residents and medical students and poster presentations at several physician conferences. Her current research includes a quality improvement project on reduction of noise levels in the NICU and a study on limiting blood draws for psychiatric patients in the pediatric emergency department.

Dr. Mittal is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is proficient in English, Hindi and Punjabi. In her free time, Dr. Mittal enjoys traveling, trying different types of workouts, and spending time with family and friends.
