Christina Nguyen, MD

Board certified in pediatrics and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Christina Nguyen joined Valley Children’s Primary Care Group in October 2025 as a pediatrician practicing at Dakota Pediatrics in Fresno.

After earning her medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Dr. Nguyen went on to complete her pediatric residency at Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio, where she was appointed program representative and later academic chief resident.

Dr. Nguyen has conducted research and quality improvement projects throughout her medical career, including efforts aimed at enhancing early pediatric oral health. Her scholarly work and publications span topics such as the efficacy of targeted therapy for lung cancer and quality of life after major laparoscopic pancreatic surgery. In addition to her academic pursuits, Dr. Nguyen has volunteered at numerous community events and programs, ranging from health fairs to programs offering adaptive horsemanship and equine-assisted therapy.

In her free time, she enjoys hiking, reading and playing video games with her family.
