About Me
Cara Lea is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner with more than 35 years of experience and has a special clinical interest in developmental pediatrics.
Cara sees patients in Valley Children's High Risk Infant Follow-up (HRIF) Clinic. In this role, she enjoys working with families in a collaborative way to ensure that their child has access to developmental care that will maximize their developmental outcomes. She is an advocate for patient- and family-centered care and likes to focus on open communication during visits where parents can share their concerns and hopes for their child. "I like to concentrate my care on the individual needs of each child and family unit, and tailor my care to that family," Cara says. "It is an honor to be involved in the developmental care of our high-risk infants and children at Valley Children's."
When she is not seeing patients, Cara enjoys cooking, working out, gardening and spending time with her family.
