About Me
Board certified in pediatrics and fellowship-trained in pediatric intensive care, Dr. Bruce Tran joined Valley Children’s Specialty Medical Group as a pediatric intensivist in July 2015.
An engaging teacher, Dr. Tran has taught a variety of resident modules for the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU). He has also provided instruction in pediatric advanced life support. His medical students at the University of California, San Diego, awarded him the 2010 Excellence in Teaching Award for resident teaching.
Dr. Tran is a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
Dr. Tran received his medical degree from the University of California, San Diego, where he also did his pediatric residency and fellowship.
As an undergraduate at the University of California, Los Angeles, Dr. Tran reported on basketball and football, and was named the nation’s top collegiate sportswriter in 2004.
Dr. Tran remains a serious sports fan. In his free time, he also enjoys traveling and finding good eats.
