Why did you choose Valley Children's Pediatric Residency Program?
I wanted to be part of a program that would prepare me to treat a wide range of pediatric conditions and one that values diversity and interprofessional collaboration. By the end of my interview day, I could tell Valley Children's would provide all of this and more. The faculty, residents, and employees who I interacted with were so enthusiastic and welcoming as well!
Hobbies: I love trying out different types of dance, doing artwork and jigsaw puzzles, and hiking.
Advocacy and Research Interests and Accomplishments: In college, I gained research experience in an autism lab, and in medical school I served as a liaison for a local mental health and addiction recovery center for teen girls. I also volunteered in a COVID-19 vaccine clinic and with the local refugee population.
Care Philosophy: Each child’s character and circumstances are unique, so I believe their medical care should also be individualized. Going to the doctor's office or hospital can be scary, so I hope to make medical care as comfortable as possible for patients and their families, too.
