About Me

Board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Resham Kaur joined Valley Children’s Specialty Medical Group as a hospitalist in 2018. As a pediatric hospitalist, she provides comprehensive and coordinated care to children admitted to Valley Children’s Hospital.

In addition to her clinical duties, Dr. Kaur serves in several leadership and academic positions. She is a core faculty member of Valley Children’s Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship Program, oversees Quality improvement for second-year pediatric residents at Valley Children’s Pediatric Residency Program, and is a clinical instructor (affiliated) at Stanford University School of Medicine. She has served as a reviewer for the Pediatric Academic Societies' 2024 meeting, and her scholarly work has been invited for presentation at several national and international conferences.

Dr. Kaur is also actively involved in regional leadership activities with the local chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She served as the chapter's Secretary and Communications Director from July 2022- June 2025 and a member of the chapter's executive committee and board of directors. Previously, she served as project lead for the chapter, administering a grant from California Health and Human Services' Data Exchange Framework Initiative to develop transformative processes aimed at improving the integrity and security of electronic health records sharing between healthcare providers and networks. Her resolution related to the work on this project was adopted at the AAP’s 2024 Leadership Conference.

Dr. Kaur earned her medical degree from Government Medical College in Amritsar, India in 2010. She then went on to complete an internship and pediatric residency training at Texas A&M University Health System Science Center College of Medicine, Driscoll Children’s Hospital, in Corpus Christi, Texas in 2014. Prior to her current role, Dr. Kaur practiced general pediatrics at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg, Illinois, where she served as Vice Chair of Primary Care. As Vice Chair, she oversaw physician performance and patient outcomes, developed quality improvement initiatives, and managed department operations.
