Why did you choose Valley Children’s Pediatric Residency?
I was drawn to the Valley Children's Residency program because of their emphasis on diversity, commitment to serving their community, and mindfulness of the many factors that affect health and patient care. When speaking to people in the program, I was met with nothing but warmth and friendliness. I knew this was the place where I would feel most supported in my goal of becoming the best pediatrician I can be!
Hobbies:
Baseball, hockey, hiking, crafts, coloring, hanging out with friends and family, playing with my orange cat Poppy.
Advocacy and Research Interests and Accomplishments:
I am passionate about centering our humanity in medicine. Not one person has the same lived experience and understanding these differences and how they affect health outcomes is crucial to providing the best care possible.
Care Philosophy:
I strive to provide a safe space for children and their families in healthcare where they can feel heard and understood. Health care is meant to be collaborative, and I feel it's important for patients and families to feel in control and part of the conversation.
