Danielle McNair, DO

Dr. Danielle McNairWhy did you choose Valley Children’s Pediatric Residency?
Choosing Valley Children's was driven by the program's exceptional clinical volume and commitment to patient autonomy. Coming from the West Coast, I wanted a training environment that offers both a diverse patient population and high subspecialty exposure. During my interactions with the program, I was incredibly impressed by the collaborative culture among residents and the strong emphasis on comprehensive medical education. I know that Valley Children's will provide the rigorous training and robust mentorship I need to become a well-rounded pediatrician and achieve my long-term career goals.

Hobbies:
I enjoy being outdoors, discovering new walking/hiking trails, playing pickleball, crafting, reading and spending quality time with family and friends. I love traveling, exploring local coffee shops and finding hidden gem restaurants.

Advocacy and Research Interests and Accomplishments:
My professional interests are deeply rooted in addressing health disparities and exploring clinical diversity. Throughout my training, I have focused heavily on the unique healthcare challenges faced by rural and underserved communities, working to bridge the gaps in resource access and health education for these populations. I am highly interested in how high subspecialty exposure and a diverse pathology mix intersect with community-based medicine. Moving forward, I hope to engage in advocacy and clinical research that optimizes healthcare delivery, improves outcomes and ensures equitable, comprehensive care for children in rural areas.

Care Philosophy:
As a pediatrician, I believe it is a profound privilege to walk alongside families and support patients during their most critical and formative years. My goal is to serve as a dedicated advocate and an active listener for my patients, ensuring that family-centered patient care and patient autonomy are at the heart of every clinical decision. I am committed to equipping families with the clinical education and support they need, whether we are navigating complex subspecialty care or celebrating everyday health milestones.
