Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Clinic
The gastroenterology department at Valley Children's offers a weekly clinic especially for our inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) patients. We are part of a national program called Improved Care Now, a collaborative community where clinicians, researchers, parents and patients continuously bring more reliable, proactive IBD care for healthier children.
Designed to optimize care, the IBD clinic is dedicated to providing comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services to children suffering from diseases of the digestive tract. This exclusive focus promotes specialized care with support groups for families as they manage the ongoing and recurring medical conditions common to most IBD patients.
Applying a multidisciplinary approach
Valley Children's pediatric specialists collaborate on every case, ensuring a high level of expertise. Our IBD clinic team members include a psychologist, a registered dietitian and expert gastroenterologists.
Our multidisciplinary team is trained and skilled in treating children with all forms of IBD, including ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease. With their extensive knowledge in the various IBD treatment methods, our experts empower families to make the right choices for their child, giving all patients suffering from IBD the best chance of controlling their symptoms and enjoying life.
