Request School Orders

Valley Children's Healthcare understands the value of every child having the ability to attend school. In partnership with Fresno Unified School District leadership, a multi-disciplinary workshop was designed to support a collaborative approach to the challenge of school orders. The group utilized Lean methodology and completed an intensive one-week workshop. The focus of the workshop was to develop processes that can be replicated in all school districts in our service area with the goal of improving efficiencies of the process, and improving satisfaction of patients and families, Valley Children’s Healthcare nursing, School District nursing and physicians.

To accomplish this, we have created a standardized process that is efficient and proactive and which meets educational and healthcare guidelines.
