Join us Thursday, December 11, from 12 - 1 p.m. for a lecture presented by Dr. Rebecca Gill titled "Speaking the Same Language: Team-Based Strategies in Medical Child Abuse Cases."

This session will explore strategies to navigate the highly complex and emotionally charged cases of medical child abuse. Emphasis will be placed on teamwork, collaboration, and structured approaches that can transform overwhelming cases into manageable, coordinated care efforts.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Identify effective communication strategies and common language to utilize when working with other professionals on cases of medical child abuse.
  • Apply team-based approaches to manage the complexity of medical child abuse cases, within the hospital and in the community.
  • Recognize biases regarding medical child abuse, including characteristics of perpetrators and ability to recognize fabrications and falsifications.
